The S-M10's design offers a smooth, attractive and streamlined profile that is streamlined and free of any external channels and features that could
act as a load point in the event of an impact or compromise the overall integrity of the helmet construction.
The curvature of the surface helps reduce friction at impact, allowing for more efficient deflection and energy transfer to protect the rider's head from force directed at the skull and referred to the neck and spine.
The S-M10 shell sizing solution ensures that each helmet fit size has its own appropriate shell size to offer the most anatomical solution for the wide variety of fit needs around the world, providing 4 different shell sizes of the helmet S, M, L and XL and 6 consumer sizes from XS to XXL to guarantee motorcyclists the correct fit which not only improves comfort and reduces the overall weight, but above all improves the effectiveness of the helmet in the event of an impact.
The helmet shell construction uses highly advanced molding technology with a multi-composite combination: 1) 3K Carbon, high-density carbon outer layer that improves strength and energy dissipation efficiency on the shell, 2) Unidirectional carbon composite layer that imparts significantly greater radial strength around the shell, preventing compression but allowing controlled deflection to reduce transmitted impact energy, and 3) Aramid fiber layer that provides critical penetration protection. This layer combination achieves even greater performance with an epoxy resin bond that offers the best possible strength and energy management; the limited deflection of the outer shell means that energy spreads wider and is better absorbed by the 4-density EPS liner.
The result of the unique shell layering process employed in the S-M10 construction results in extremely effective impact protection. The S-M10 delivers linear and oblique impact performance that exceeds current helmet regulatory standard limits. For direct linear impacts, i.e. an impact with a 90 degree angle between the helmet and an object, the SM10 exceeds the new ECE 22.06 standard for 2024 by an average magnitude of 46% for normal speed impacts. New to the ECE 22.06 standard, the new requirements now include low- and high-speed linear impacts where the SM10 exceeds the new ECE 22.06 Peak Linear Acceleration standards by 23% and 28% respectively
And for rotational acceleration and oblique impact performance, where the impact energy comes from an angle other than a 90-degree linear or right-angle impact, the SM10 exceeds the new ECE 22.0 standard by 76 percent Peak Rotational Acceleration.
New redesigned chin bar profile, where the base area has been specially sculpted to give a raised section, raised to free up the collarbone, with a new softer EPS liner that extends beyond the helmet shell itself and is covered by a more flexible rubber compound that offers a reduced chance of any type of collarbone injury.
Removable side pads made from a semi-soft polymer for added protection provide a larger contact area to help spread impact energy.
