New front and rear flex zones are constructed with over-injected fabric with soft TPU for increased impact abrasion while promoting natural forward and backward movement.

An evolution of Alpinestars exclusive ankle brace protection system provides biomechanical support and protection between the upper lateral calf, shin and ankle for superior ankle articulation while also limiting hypertorsion, hyperextension and hyperflexion. as well as providing impact protection to the Achilles tendon and ankle.

Alpinestars Lace-Lock system is constructed from an advanced polymer resin for a quick, precise and secure closure guaranteed.

Featuring a new TPU protection zone for superior protection on the lower medial side, a new strategically positioned race-derived TPU shin plate protector offers superior impact and abrasion resistance, dual density TPU Aride protectors are strategically positioned between the upper and padded liner to provide strategic protection in key areas.

A replaceable screw-mounted dual density TPU slider provides full protective coverage around the external toe area while being extremely flexible for walking comfort.

The replaceable heel slider and external lateral heel slider are strategically positioned for optimum shock absorption and dissipation. The SMX-8 V3 Gore Tex boot is DE certified to EN 10804/2017.
